Refund policy
At Heritage, every piece is thoughtfully handcrafted using pure fabrics, traditional techniques, and intricate detailing. Owing to the artisanal nature of our collections, most styles are produced in limited quantities, often as one-of-a-kind creations. Since these delicate weaves and handcrafted garments require exceptional care and handling, cancellations, returns, and exchanges are accepted only under limited circumstances.
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before they have been shipped, provided no customization services such as tassels, fall pico, stitching, alterations, or finishing have been added upon request.
In the event of a cancellation, Heritage will issue store credit equivalent to the order value, redeemable on any future purchase through our website. If you prefer a monetary refund, applicable payment gateway, banking, or transaction processing charges will be deducted from the refundable amount.
Please note:
- Customized, stitched, or altered garments cannot be cancelled.
- Fabrics cut to order and made-to-order apparel are not eligible for cancellation.
Returns
Returns are accepted only in the following situations:
- Manufacturing defects
- Incorrect item dispatched
As each product is handcrafted and photographed individually, slight variations in color, texture, weave, embroidery, or finish are natural characteristics of artisanal products and should not be considered defects. Variations may occur due to lighting, photography angles, monitor settings, and the handmade nature of fabrics.
Returns will not be accepted for:
- Minor color or weave variations
- Issues related to customized services such as tassels, fall pico, or alterations
- Apparel, stitched garments, or cut fabrics
- Products that have been worn, used, opened, unfolded, or damaged after delivery
Return requests must be emailed within 48 hours of delivery to the official Heritage customer support email. Requests submitted beyond this period will not be eligible for return consideration.
If your package appears tampered with, damaged, or unsealed at the time of delivery, we strongly advise you not to accept the parcel and to contact our customer support team immediately.
In case of damage during transit, customers must share clear photographs of:
- The outer packaging
- The damaged product
- Shipping labels and invoice
Upon receiving your request, our team will review the matter and respond with approval or rejection within 5 working days.
Approved returns must be shipped back in their original packaging, along with original tags and invoice, within 5 days of authorization.
Once the returned item passes quality inspection, refunds will be processed within 7 working days either as:
- Store credit, or
- Refund to the original payment method
Please note that shipping charges, customs duties, payment gateway fees, and applicable restocking charges may be deducted where applicable. Refund timelines may vary depending on banking institutions.
Exchanges
Exchange requests are accepted only if:
- No customization or alteration services have been added
- The item remains unused, unopened, and in original condition with tags intact
Please note:
- Made-to-order garments and customized products cannot be exchanged
- Fabrics cut from full yardage are not eligible for exchange
- International customers will be responsible for applicable customs duties, taxes, and both-way shipping charges for exchange shipments
- Heritage reserves the right to decline exchange requests in cases of repeated misuse of the policy
Gift Cards
- Heritage Gift Cards are valid only for purchases made directly through Heritage.
- Gift Cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Delivery of the Gift Card to the designated recipient shall constitute fulfillment of Heritage’s responsibility toward the purchaser.
- Once redeemed, the transaction shall be considered final and fully settled.
